The Whitewater Rotary Club meets from 12:00 noon to 1:00 pm on Tuesdays at the Whitewater Country Club, Hwy. 89 South, Whitewater, Wisconsin. Below are pictures of Whitewater Rotary members wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in 2010.
The Whitewater Rotary chartered in 1966 is part of Rotary International, a worldwide association of Rotary clubs, whose mission is to provide service to others, to promote high ethical standards, and to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders.
The Whitewater Rotary recently hosted Jacques from France who attended Whitewater High School (WHS). Pictured is Jacques with Veronica Gallegos, a WHS student who is sponsored by the Whitewater Rotary Club and currently participating in the Youth Exchange Program in Brazil for the 2009-2010 school year. She is enjoying her classes and making many new friends.
Veronica Gallegos was chosen as a Rotary Youth Exchange student from Whitewater High School after completing the application and interview process. She left for RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL before the end of August and will return home in the summer of 2010. Pictured here are Javier Gallegos, Veronica's father, and part of the Whitewater Rotary Club's Exchange Youth Committee, Ron Binning, Lois Smith, and Mark Olm.
The WW Rotary Club has hosted Foreign Exchange Students each year since the late 1970's. We have also sponsored a number of Whitewater High School Students over the years like Veronica who want to experience life in another culture.
